The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 150 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 2.51 percent (data as of Monday, January 2, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 25 percent are Aceh Tengah, Banggai Kepulauan, Tojo Una Una, Tebing Tinggi City, and Aceh Barat Daya, with values of 33.33 percent, 33.33 percent, 27.27 percent, 26.09 percent, and 25 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 69 districts/cities, while 121 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Aceh Tengah, Banggai Kepulauan, and Tojo Una Una, with seven-day positivity rates of 33.33 percent, 33.33 percent, and 27.27 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
