Several districts/cities in South Sulawesi province still record a relatively low second-dose vaccination rate compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Jeneponto, Bantaeng, and Sinjai regencies.
As of today, the vaccination program in these three regencies has only completed 292,220 second doses out of the targeted 670,390 vaccine recipients.
Jeneponto Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 42.74% of the target population in this region has received their second dose, the lowest among the 24 other districts/cities. The first dose, however, has reached 82.61%, or 395,170 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 313,310 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Jeneponto last week was 2,181 participants. Currently, there is a stock of 60,022 vaccine doses available.
Next is Bantaeng Regency. For the second dose, this area has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 154,760 vaccine recipients, only 43.16% or 66,801 participants have received their second dose.
The first dose has reached 75.66%, or 187,970 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Bantaeng last week was 164 participants. The current vaccine stock is 53,372 doses.
Sinjai Regency is ranked third. With a target of 202,320 vaccine recipients, only 45.23% or 91,508 participants have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Sinjai last week was 674 participants. The current vaccine stock is 51,340 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in South Sulawesi has reached 86.37%, or 6.1 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 61.22%, covering 4.32 million vaccine recipients.
