Several districts/cities in North Sumatra province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include South Nias Regency, North Nias Regency, and Mandailing Natal Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 195,060 second doses out of the expected target of 744,530 vaccine recipients.
South Nias Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 24.5% of the target population in this region had received their second dose. This is the lowest percentage among the other 33 districts/cities. The first dose, however, has reached 82.7%, or 301,850 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 280,440 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in South Nias last week was 52 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 66,322 doses.
Next is North Nias Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 112,310 vaccine recipients, only 24.9% or 27,959 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first dose has reached 76.8%, or 114,810 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in North Nias last week was 990 participants. The current vaccine stock is 79,736 doses.
Lastly, Mandailing Natal Regency is ranked third. With a target of 351,780 vaccine recipients, only 27.9% or 98,322 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Mandailing Natal last week was 1,191 participants. The current vaccine stock is 114,620 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in North Sumatra has reached 85.71%, or 9.79 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 53.52%, covering 6.11 million vaccine recipients.
