The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 129 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 3.22 percent as of Sunday, August 7, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest figures, exceeding 23.08 percent, are Palu City, West Lombok, Metro City, Pasuruan City, and Pasuruan Regency, with values of 39 percent, 37.33 percent, 26 percent, 23.75 percent, and 23.08 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in 67 districts/cities, while 12 districts/cities recorded lower tracing.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Palu City, West Lombok, and Metro City, with tracing rates of 39 percent, 37.33 percent, and 26 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
