10 Most Expensive Destinations for New Year's 2026 Celebrations

The international hotel booking service company, Cheaphotels.org, surveyed hotel rates in various global tourist destinations for the 2026 New Year's celebration.

The results showed that the most expensive hotel during this period was in Miami Beach, United States (US).

To stay in a hotel in the Miami Beach area for 4 days and 3 nights from December 30, 2025, to January 2, 2026, tourists must pay a minimum of US$1,187.

Converted to Rupiah, the price is approximately equivalent to Rp19.8 million (assuming an exchange rate of Rp16,680 per US$).

"This figure is 197% higher than hotel rates in January, making a stay in Miami Beach on New Year's Eve very expensive," said Cheaphotels.org in its report.

Another tourist destination considered very expensive during this New Year's transition is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where hotel rates are a minimum of US$1,172 or Rp19.55 million for a 4-day, 3-night stay.

These rates are approximately 284% higher than the average prices at the beginning of the year.
