The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 142 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 3.07 percent (data as of Friday, December 30, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 33.33 percent are Simeulue, Bener Meriah, Kotamobagu City, Sitaro, and Tojo Una Una, with values of 50 percent, 50 percent, 40.74 percent, 40 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 95 districts/cities, while 107 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Simeulue, Bener Meriah, and Kotamobagu City, with seven-day positivity rates of 50 percent, 50 percent, and 40.74 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
