The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 158 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.99 percent (data as of Sunday, July 10, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 9.88 percent are Magelang City, Barito Timur, North Jakarta City, South Jakarta City, and West Jakarta City, with values of 15.38 percent, 12.2 percent, 10.83 percent, 10 percent, and 9.88 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 79 districts/cities, while 53 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Barito Timur, Gianyar, and East Sumba, with seven-day positivity rates of 12.2 percent, 6.98 percent, and 6.27 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
