The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 80 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 2.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, October 30, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 12.46 patients per 100,000 population/week are Mojokerto City, Yogyakarta City, Kediri City, Banda Aceh City, and Toli Toli, with respective values of 17.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, 17.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 14 patients per 100,000 population/week, 13.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 12.46 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 45 regencies/cities, while 26 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Toli Toli, and Kutai Barat, with inpatient use of 13.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.62 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
