North Toraja is the regency with the highest number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases, at 0.83 per 100,000 people per week. The number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in this regency shows no improvement, having increased from 0.42 per 100,000 people per week the previous week.
The same situation occurred in Makassar City, which recorded 0.76 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people. This regency also saw a higher number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases compared to the previous week, which was 0.38 per 100,000 people per week. Soppeng follows, with 0.43 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in this South Sulawesi regency.
North Luwu and Pangkajene Islands follow, recording 0.31 and 0.29 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people, respectively.
Nationally, the average number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across the 34 provinces is currently on an upward trend compared to the previous week, which was 0.32 per 100,000 people per week.
