The number of people in West Sulawesi who have received their first dose of the vaccine has reached 1.69 million.

As of Wednesday, October 20, 2021, West Sulawesi Province has achieved 34.98 percent coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 1.69 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 4.84 million people. The second dose vaccination has reached 22.36 percent of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 32,920 recipients. For the first dose, 32,920 people were vaccinated (134.77 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 126.55 percent or 41,660 people were vaccinated.

For public sector workers, the target was 349,420 people. The first dose vaccination reached 573,380 people (164.1 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 135.5 percent, or 473,470 people.

For the elderly, the target was 322,470 people. The first dose was administered to 65,430 people (20.29 percent of the target). The second dose reached 14.32 percent, or 46,190 people.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 3.45 million people. The first dose was administered to 938,380 people (28.69 percent of the target). The second dose reached 14.65 percent, or 460,160 people.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 684,190 people. The first dose was administered to 19,810 people (2.89 percent of the target). The second dose reached 2.25 percent, or 15,380 people.
