Mentawai Islands Regency in West Sumatra has used 44,622 doses of vaccine as of Saturday, November 20, 2021. This figure represents a 15.89 percent increase compared to last week's vaccine usage, which was only 38,504 doses.
Compared to other regions in West Sumatra, the vaccination program in this regency experienced the highest growth in the last week. This growth was driven by the local government's efforts to catch up on the vaccination program, which is still below the provincial average. Currently, the first dose vaccination coverage in Mentawai Islands Regency has only reached 44.6%, while the average for regencies/cities in the province is above 54.23%.
According to daily data released by the Ministry of Health, the weekly average vaccination in this region is 345 doses. This figure is below the average for regencies/cities in West Sumatra. With an available vaccine stock of 10,888 doses, the estimated vaccine supply in Mentawai Islands Regency will be exhausted within the next 31 days.
Regarding the provincial-level vaccination achievement, the total first dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 49.18 percent, covering 2.17 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 23.49 percent, covering 1.04 million vaccine recipients.
