Average Length of Schooling in Magelang Increases to 8.04 Years

The average length of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 and over in Magelang, Central Java, was 8.04 years in 2025.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of the region's population is below the average for Central Java Province, which was 8.15 years in 2025.

The RLS of Magelang residents increased by 0.21 years (2.68%) compared to the previous year, which was 7.83 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the RLS has increased by 0.26 years (3.34%).

This RLS indicates that the average Magelang resident only attends school up to the 8th grade. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.
