The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 302 regencies/cities have complete vaccination coverage above the national average, which is currently recorded at 67.93 percent as of Sunday, January 1, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with complete vaccination rates exceeding 129.37 percent are Yogyakarta City, Central Jakarta City, Denpasar City, South Jakarta City, and Magelang City, with respective values of 197.11 percent, 186.47 percent, 142.34 percent, 140.68 percent, and 129.37 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in complete vaccination coverage in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in complete vaccination rates, higher than previous figures, was recorded in 50 regencies/cities.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest complete vaccination rates include Denpasar City, Padang Panjang City, and Badung Regency, with complete vaccination rates of 142.34 percent, 122.49 percent, and 112.63 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
