Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Sunday, December 25, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 68 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, December 25, 2022.

The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 2.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Belitung, Toli Toli, Sangihe Islands, and Banda Aceh City, with respective values of 4.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was observed in 21 districts/cities, while 19 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Belitung, Toli Toli, and Sangihe Islands, with inpatient utilization rates of 3.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 3.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
