The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 110 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Sunday, November 20, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Sukamara, Bintan, Klungkung, Balikpapan City, and Bontang City, with respective rates of 1.49, 1.2, 1.1, 1.08, and 1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Nine districts/cities recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously, while nine others recorded lower rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Sukamara, Bintan, and Klungkung, with respective rates of 1.49, 1.2, and 1.1 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
