The Ministry of Health released data showing that 68.75 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Saturday, January 7, 2023. This figure represents 29.3 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 9,449 doses.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, reaching 15.66 million doses. Bogor Regency has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in West Java, with 1.61 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.11 million), Bekasi Regency (990,350), Bekasi City (989,730), Cianjur Regency (928,610), and Bandung City (904,290).
East Java is second with 9.25 million doses. Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in this province, with 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.57 million booster vaccinations. This is followed by North Sumatra (3.78 million doses), Banten (3.02 million doses), and Bali (1.96 million doses).
