The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 28 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.44 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sleman, Surakarta City, Kediri City, Cimahi City, and Teluk Bintuni, with respective values of 2.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.63 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Higher-than-previous daily inpatient use was recorded in three regencies/cities, while five regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Teluk Bintuni, Bangka, and Pontianak City, with inpatient use of 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.74 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
