The top five, starting from the highest, are South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, Badung, East Jakarta, and South Tangerang, with respective figures of 11.94 people per 1000 population/week, 10.77 people per 1000 population/week, 7.79 people per 1000 population/week, 7.49 people per 1000 population/week, and 7.42 people per 1000 population/week.
South Jakarta ranks first. The number of people tested there is recorded at 11.94 per 1000 population/week. The latest positivity rate is 10.01 percent. The positivity rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Central Jakarta. The population of this region is recorded at 913,720. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested was 10.77 per 1000 population/week. The positivity rate in this region is recorded at 8.94 percent, also up compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, Covid-19 testing in Badung is recorded at 7.79 people per 1000 population/week, East Jakarta recorded 7.49 people per 1000 population/week, and South Tangerang recorded 7.42 people per 1000 population/week.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on a recapitulation of national Covid data, there are 319 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily number of people tested than before. Meanwhile, 52 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested compared to the previous week.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of people tested include Badung, Mimika, and Balikpapan, with 7.79, 6.59, and 6.06 people tested respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission in some areas has decreased, the government urges everyone to continue to reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water.
