Compared to other regions in Papua, the regency experienced the highest growth in vaccination implementation over the past week. This growth was driven by the local government's efforts to catch up on the vaccination program, which is still below the provincial average. Currently, the first dose vaccination coverage in Deiyai Regency has only reached 2%, while the average for regencies/cities in the province is above 22.39%.
According to daily data released by the Ministry of Health, the weekly average vaccination in this region is seven doses. This figure is below the average for regencies/cities in Papua. With an available vaccine stock of 1,070 doses, it is estimated that the vaccine in Deiyai Regency will run out in 152 days.
Regarding provincial-level vaccination coverage, the total first dose vaccination in Papua has reached 24%, covering 618,790 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 16.5%, covering 425,280 vaccine recipients.
