The five districts/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.22 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Takalar, Tasikmalaya City, Manggarai, North Labuhanbatu, and Kulon Progo, with respective values of 0.33 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.29 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.28 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.27 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.22 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily increase in Covid-19 deaths higher than previous figures was recorded in one district/city.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Takalar, Manggarai, and North Labuhanbatu, with respective death rates of 0.33 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.28 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.27 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
