Several districts/cities in Central Java Province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Batang Regency, Wonosobo Regency, and Pati Regency.
As of Wednesday, December 22, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 850,230 second doses out of the targeted 2.36 million vaccine recipients.
Batang Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of December 22, 2021, only 32.7% of the target population had received their second dose, the lowest among the 35 districts/cities. The first dose, however, reached 66.3%, or 618,000 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in Batang Regency targets 622,260 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Batang was 4,490 recipients. Currently, there is a stock of 134,430 vaccine doses available.
Next is Wonosobo Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 688,470 vaccine recipients, only 34.2% or 235,720 recipients have received their second dose.
The first dose has reached 72.5%, or 737,140 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Wonosobo was 7,237 recipients. Currently, there is a stock of 68,721 vaccine doses available.
Pati Regency is ranked third. With a target of 1.05 million vaccine recipients, only 39.1% or 411,190 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Pati was 6,018 recipients. Currently, there is a stock of 77,155 vaccine doses available.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in Central Java has reached 72.76%, or 20.9 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 51.91%, covering 14.91 million vaccine recipients.
