Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Friday, March 4, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least 23 regencies/cities have a bed occupancy rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 27.28 percent. This average is higher than last week's 23.36 percent, based on data from Friday, March 4, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 72.38 percent, are Buton (89.05 percent), North Halmahera (82.54 percent), Rote Ndao (77.55 percent), Enrekang (73.38 percent), and Purworejo (72.38 percent).

A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java is increasing. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 163 regencies/cities, while 148 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Buton (89.05 percent), North Halmahera (82.54 percent), and Rote Ndao (77.55 percent).

The government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
