COVID-19 Cases Increase by 1,786 (Friday, October 14)

Confirmed Covid-19 cases increased by 1,786 people as of October 14, 2022. With this addition, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 6,453,864.

Meanwhile, 6,278,113 patients have been declared recovered, and 158,281 people have died.

The government urges the public to more actively implement health protocols due to the increasing spread of the Omicron variant in Indonesia. With the emergence of this variant, the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia is feared to become more widespread and difficult to control. This is despite the fact that the positive rate had decreased in most regions earlier this year.

Previously, during the first wave of Covid-19 last year, the highest daily increase in cases was recorded on July 15, 2021, at 56,757 cases. With the arrival of the Omicron variant, this record was then broken twice in February, with an increase of 57,049 cases on February 15 and 64,718 cases on February 16.
