Several districts/cities in Central Kalimantan province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Kapuas Regency, North Barito Regency, and Katingan Regency.
As of Thursday, October 14, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 155,970 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 560,510 vaccine recipients.
Kapuas Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded a 25.72% vaccination rate, the lowest among the other 14 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 320,760 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 1,852 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 43,049 doses.
Next is North Barito Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 119,110 participants, only 30.26% or 36,047 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 428 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 23,496 doses.
Katingan Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 120,640 participants, only 31.01% or 37,408 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 452 participants. The available vaccine stock is 12,106 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in Central Kalimantan has reached 42.56%, covering 866,530 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 25.53%, covering 519,800 vaccine recipients.
