Price of Medium Quality I Rice in Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

Based on the latest data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in North Sumatra's traditional markets is recorded at Rp13,900. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets has increased from Rp13,850.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 1.09% from the previous price of Rp13,750.

The highest price increase for daily medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2023 with an increase of 23.44%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -19.62%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities today in North Sumatra show ten commodities decreased and 19 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include: Daily Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Broiler Chicken in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Beef in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Grade 1 Beef in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Super Quality II Rice, Daily Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Green Chili in Traditional Markets by Province.
