In 2023, the per capita weekly expenditure on filtered kretek cigarettes in South Tangerang City was Rp14,720. This represents a decrease compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp17,680 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditure categories for cigarettes and tobacco in South Tangerang City, ranked from highest to lowest, are: filtered kretek cigarettes (Rp14,720 per capita per week), white cigarettes (Rp3,344.33 per capita per week), unfiltered kretek cigarettes (Rp1,905.07 per capita per week), other cigarettes and tobacco (Rp514.62 per capita per week), and tobacco (Rp40.66 per capita per week – the lowest).

Per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months.
