Data as of Thursday, July 7, 2022, shows the national average testing rate is 0.92 people per 1000 population/week.
The top five, starting from the highest number of people tested per 1000 population/week, are South Jakarta (10.04 people), Central Jakarta (9.25 people), Badung (6.65 people), East Jakarta (6.05 people), and South Tangerang (5.95 people).
South Jakarta ranks first. The number of people tested there is recorded at 10.04 per 1000 population/week. The latest positivity rate is 8.36 percent. The positivity rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Central Jakarta. The population of this region is recorded at 913,720. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested is 9.25 per 1000 population/week. The positivity rate in this region is recorded at 7.59 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, Badung recorded 6.65 people tested per 1000 population/week, East Jakarta recorded 6.05 people per 1000 population/week, and South Tangerang recorded 5.95 people tested per 1000 population/week.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on a recapitulation of national Covid data, there are 183 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily number of people tested than before. Meanwhile, 162 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested compared to the previous week.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of people tested include Badung, Mimika, and Balikpapan, with 6.65, 5.58, and 5.26 people tested per 1000 population/week respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue to reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
