The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 173 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.79 percent as of Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 29.55 percent are Banggai Kepulauan (43.33 percent), Nagan Raya (40 percent), Banggai Laut (38.46 percent), Kayong Utara (36.36 percent), and Toli Toli (29.55 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 148 districts/cities, while 122 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Kepulauan (43.33 percent), Nagan Raya (40 percent), and Banggai Laut (38.46 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
