Perum Bulog has distributed 53 thousand tons of rice as aid for flood and landslide victims that hit three Sumatran provinces, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"The total aid we have mobilized includes 53,586 tons of disaster relief rice, 6,515 kiloliters of cooking oil, and Bulog's CSR in the form of Bulog Peduli," said Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani during a meeting with Commission IV of the DPR on Wednesday (January 21, 2026).

Rizal explained that the distribution of this rice aid was carried out through a scheme to strengthen supplies in each affected area. Bulog stated that it increased the aid allocation, exceeding the initial requests from local governments, so that the community's needs could be met.

"Yesterday, Aceh requested an additional 10 thousand tons of rice, and we increased it to 30 thousand tons. The goal is to ensure that no one in the community is left without food support, especially rice," he said.

Current stock: 61,721 tons

North Sumatra

Before disaster: 43,636 tons

Distributed: 5,098 tons

Current stock: 17,425 tons

West Sumatra

Before disaster: 9,530 tons

Distributed: 1,069 tons

Current stock: 5,627 tons

To ensure effective rice distribution, Bulog has prepared rice stock at airports and ports located in the affected areas. Several strategic points, such as Aceh Airport, Suwondo Air Base in North Sumatra, and Padang Airport, each have up to 50 tons of rice stock prepared daily.
