The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least four regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 6.12 percent. This average is higher than last week's 4.94 percent, based on data from Monday, October 31, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 58.7 percent are Fakfak, East Belitung, Majene, Toli Toli, and Takalar, with values of 100 percent, 93.75 percent, 69.64 percent, 62.5 percent, and 58.7 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 97 regencies/cities, while 58 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, East Belitung, and Majene, with BORs of 100 percent, 93.75 percent, and 69.64 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
