Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Onions Down (Tuesday, March 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (12/3/2024) at 08.05 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), red chilies, dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, farmer-level corn, mackerel, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp6,250 (52.57%) to Rp18,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves saw the lowest decrease of Rp5,660 (15.87%) to Rp30,000 per kg.
