Daily Cooking Oil Prices in Traditional Markets of Riau Islands Province Increased by 0.26% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets in Riau Islands Province showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp19,000.

Meanwhile, the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets in Riau Islands Province over the past three months has increased by 6.72% from the previous record of Rp17,850.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets in this province was in March 2022, with a 30.16% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in December 2016, with a -14.67% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Riau Islands Province show ten commodities decreased and 19 increased. The commodities with decreased prices are Granulated Sugar, Red Onion, Medium-Sized White Onion, Super I Quality Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Branded Cooking Oil 2, Medium-Sized Red Onion, White Onion, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in Riau Islands Province:

8. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp96,400/kg (up 88.28%)
9. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp19,450/kg (up 2.91%)
10. Medium I Quality Rice per Kg Rp16,150/kg (up 20.52%)
