Weekly Expenditure of Jepara Regency Residents on Eggs and Milk

In Jepara Regency in 2023, the per capita weekly expenditure on raw and cooked salted eggs was Rp146.04. This is an increase compared to the previous year's expenditure of Rp111.26 per capita per week.

The five largest household expenditures on eggs and milk in Jepara Regency, in descending order, were: Rp3,305.68 per capita per week for layer chicken eggs; Rp1,197.97 per capita per week for powdered milk; Rp990.45 per capita per week for infant formula; Rp832.61 per capita per week for sweetened condensed milk; and the lowest expenditure was Rp11.97 per capita per week for duck eggs/Manila duck eggs.

Per capita average expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to other parties.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The per capita average consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

According to Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) publications, the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.11 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure decreased by 4.84% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.16 million per capita per month.

Based on region, the highest household expenditure on raw and cooked salted eggs was in Nagan Raya Regency, and the lowest was in Buleleng Regency. Jepara Regency's expenditure on raw and cooked salted eggs ranked 81st. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure on raw and cooked salted eggs is Rp229 per capita per week.
