PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), increased toll fares on the Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang toll road, also known as the Cipularang toll road, starting at 00.00 WIB on June 5th, 2023.
Senior General Manager of PT Jasa Marga, Widyatmiko Nursejati, stated that this policy is a regular tariff adjustment as stipulated in Article 48 paragraph (3) of Law Number 38 of 2004 concerning Roads and Article 68 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads.
"Based on these regulations, the evaluation and adjustment of toll fares are conducted every two years based on the influence of the inflation rate," said Widyatmiko, as quoted from Katadata.co.id on Monday, June 5th, 2023.
The fare increase ranges from Rp 2,500 to Rp 6,500 for the longest distance.
With this new policy, here are the details of the new Cipularang toll road fares with the highest fare amount:
* Class I: from Rp 42,500 to Rp 45,000

The Cipularang and Padaleunyi toll roads are integrated toll roads (toll to toll). This is the main route connecting Jakarta to Bandung and its surrounding areas.
This toll road section is also connected to the Jakarta-Cikampek, Soreang-Pasir Koja, and Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) toll road networks.
According to Widyatmiko, the Cipularang and Padaleunyi toll roads can shorten travel time from Jakarta to Bandung to approximately 2 hours. Meanwhile, the travel time from Jakarta to Rancaekek or Cileunyi is approximately 2.5 hours.
"Using the toll road is 2 to 2.5 hours faster compared to using national or non-toll roads, which takes around 4 to 4.5 hours," said Widyatmiko.
