Based on data from the Integrated Lebaran Transportation Post 2022, the number of public transportation passengers reached 1.03 million people on D+4 of Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr), Saturday (May 7, 2022).
This number is the highest since D-7 of Lebaran, Monday (April 25, 2022), as shown in the graph.
Monitoring of public transportation passengers during this year's homecoming season was conducted at 111 bus terminals, 16 ferry crossings, 50 airports, 110 seaports, and 13 Regional Operational Areas/Regional Divisions (Daop/Divre) of train stations.
Bus passengers on D+4 of Lebaran, Saturday (May 7, 2022), reached 231,171 people, a 268% increase from the usual 62,760 passengers.
Meanwhile, train passengers on D+4 of Lebaran reached 156,678 people, a 223.9% increase from the usual 48,372 passengers.
The number of air passengers on D+4 of Lebaran reached 226,631 people, a 115.6% increase from the usual 105,101 passengers.
Sea passengers on D+4 of Lebaran reached 92,680 people, a 361.9% increase from the usual 20,064 passengers.
Meanwhile, the number of ferry passengers on D+4 of Lebaran reached 330,249 people, a 494.8% increase from the usual 55,525 passengers.
Cumulatively, during the period from D-7 to D+4 of Lebaran (April 25-May 7, 2022), the number of ferry passengers was the highest, namely 3.07 million passengers or approximately 30% of the total homecoming passengers this year.
