In August 2022, the Toyota Avanza topped the list of best-selling cars in the Indonesian domestic market, recording 7,030 wholesale units sold.
The second best-selling car that month was the Mitsubishi Xpander, with 5,212 wholesale units sold. Toyota Calya came in third, selling 4,855 units.
The Honda Brio, usually a top seller in wholesale figures, dropped to fourth place with 4,596 units sold. The Daihatsu Sigra followed with 4,374 units sold.
Meanwhile, the Hyundai Stargazer, a newcomer to the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment, secured sixth place with 3,955 units sold.
Here's a breakdown of the top 10 best-selling cars in Indonesia in August 2022, according to Gaikindo's report:

The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) reported a total of 96,956 wholesale car sales in the domestic market during August 2022. This represents a 12.41% month-on-month (mom) increase compared to the previous month's sales of 86,245 units.
