Local Granulated Sugar Prices in Modern Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets of Maluku province has not changed compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

Meanwhile, compared to the last month, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp18,250 per kg.

Whereas the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets in Maluku over the last three months has decreased by 2.63%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets of Maluku province is traded at Rp19,000 per kg.

The record increase in daily local granulated sugar prices in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 26.94%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in April 2017 with a decrease of -19.61%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple commodities (sembako) in Maluku show that 14 commodities have decreased and six have increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Rice, Red Chili, Red Onion, Medium-sized Garlic, Medium-sized Red Onion, Curly Red Chili, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, Bird's Eye Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Super I Quality Rice, Chicken Meat, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Garlic, and Green Bird's Eye Chili.

9. Curly Red Chili per Kg Rp62,500 per kg (down 30.13%)
10. Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat per Kg Rp50,400 per kg (down 0.98%)
11. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp78,250 per kg (down 24.1%)
