Now in Operation: Suite Class Compartment Luxury Train Ticket Prices

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has launched a luxury train service, the Suite Class Compartment. Bookings are now open for departures starting Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

According to *Databoks.id*’s observation via the Access by KAI application, this luxury compartment is available on the Bima Compartment and Argo Semeru Compartment train services.

The Bima train serves the Gambir-Surabaya Gubeng (round trip) route via Yogyakarta, departing from Gambir Station at 5:00 PM and arriving at Surabaya Gubeng Station at 3:30 AM the following day.

The Argo Semeru Compartment follows the same route but with an earlier departure time of 6:20 AM from Gambir Station, arriving at Surabaya Gubeng Station at 4:50 PM.

Both train services are available starting Tuesday, October 10, 2023, with prices ranging from Rp1.95 million per person for Executive X class to Rp2.25 million per person for Executive A class.

For the return route, from Gubeng Station to Gambir Station, the Argo Semeru Compartment and Bima Compartment are available starting Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

Luxury Train Amenities

Quoting KAI's official website, the Suite Class Compartment offers various exclusive amenities for passenger comfort.

One feature is a seat that reclines 180 degrees to function as a bed. There's also a footrest designed for passenger comfort, and in-seat entertainment.

"What makes the Suite Class Compartment train more special is that each seat is equipped with a touch panel for controlling seat functions such as reclining and revolving. This allows passengers to easily adjust their seat mode. The seat material is also made of premium, soft deer leather," said KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

For its inaugural launch, KAI is also offering a flat promotional ticket price of Rp1.95 million. This promotion is valid from October 10-31, 2023, for all departure times.
