Indonesia's trade balance with Brunei Darussalam showed a surplus of US$53.64 million in 2020. However, this surplus decreased by 26.12% compared to the previous year's US$72.6 million.
This decline in the trade balance, according to Trademap data, was supported by Indonesia's export value, which reached US$128.97 million. This is higher than Indonesia's imports from Brunei Darussalam, which were recorded at US$75.34 million.
Indonesia's exports to Brunei Darussalam have been on an upward trend over the past year. The previous year's export value was US$103.15 million.
Imports, according to Trademap data, increased by 146.59% compared to the previous year's US$30.55 million.
Based on product type, 10 main export products from Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam recorded a surplus in 2020. The total value of these main exports reached US$57.21 million.
