Indonesia's poultry egg exports fell to US$1.30 billion in 2020

The *Trade Map* report shows that Indonesia's poultry egg exports were valued at US$1.30 billion, or approximately Rp18.56 trillion, in 2020 (using an exchange rate of US$1 = Rp14,249). This figure represents a 26.38% decrease compared to the previous year's US$1.77 billion.

Indonesia's poultry egg export volume in 2020 amounted to 74 tons, a 56.7% decrease compared to the 171 tons exported in the previous year.

In 2020, poultry egg exports were recorded to only two countries: Myanmar and Singapore. The value of exports to these countries was US$1.30 billion and US$1 million, respectively.

Over the past five years, the value of Indonesia's poultry egg exports has shown a fluctuating trend. The highest export value was recorded in 2017 at US$2.28 billion, while the lowest was in 2018 at US$776 million.

Poultry egg exports are one of the efforts to boost the economy and enhance the competitiveness of local farmers in the global market. Besides poultry eggs, various other Indonesian livestock commodities have also penetrated export markets, including processed chicken meat, bird's nest, animal feed, animal medicine, processed dairy products, live pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, and even larvae products.
