Francesco Bagnaia won the 8th round of the MotoGP series after defeating other racers at the Mugello Circuit, Italy, on Sunday (29/5/2022).
The Ducati Lenovo team rider achieved the highest points, namely 25 points, with a time of 41 minutes 18.923 seconds.
Bagnaia beat Fabio Quartararo, who was the fastest racer on the track last year. In this year's event, Quartararo finished the race in second place with 20 points.
In third place was Aprilia team rider Aleix Espargaro, with 16 points. Johann Zarco was in fourth place with 13 points.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, who was rumored to be taking a break until next year's racing season, still participated in the Italian MotoGP race. Although his performance wasn't very aggressive, he managed to finish in 10th place.
Marquez's teammate, Pol Espargaro, crashed after trying to close the gap with the top racers. As a result, the Repsol Honda rider was forced to leave the race.
