Types of Indonesian Textile Industry Export Commodities, First Semester 2025

According to a report by Indonesia's Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Indonesia's textile industry export volume in the first half of 2025 reached 693,800 tons, with an export value of US$1.63 billion.

The most exported textile commodity was man-made staple fibers, with a volume of 328,540 tons, or 47% of total national exports.

The following details the export volume of Indonesia's textile industry by commodity type in the first half of 2025:

* Man-made staple fibers: 328,547.71 tons

* Spun yarn: 187,870.89 tons

* Woven fabric: 49,458.11 tons

* Man-made filament yarn/strip/fiber: 41,484.49 tons

* Textile fiber: 28,770.98 tons

* Knitted fabric: 10,211.23 tons

* Embroidered/embroidered fabric: 124.52 tons

* Silk: 2.36 tons

* Other textile goods: 47,361.73 tons

However, according to the Indonesian Textile Association (API), the export performance of ready-made garments and textile industry products is now potentially slowing down.

This potential slowdown is due to a new United States (US) policy imposing a 19% import tariff on Indonesian products exported to the US starting in August 2025.

"As a result, although the portion is still significant, export growth has the potential to slow down or stagnate," said API Deputy Chairman David Leonardi, as reported by Bisnis.com on Sunday (7/9/2025).
