The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that Indonesia's export value in 2021 reached US$231.61 billion, up 41.92% year-on-year (yoy).
Further details show that Indonesia's export value using sea transport in 2021 increased by 45.95% (yoy) to US$219.24 billion. This contributed 94.66% of Indonesia's total exports last year.
Export value using air transport decreased by 14.28% (yoy) to US$9.48 billion in 2021. This accounted for 4.09% of total national exports.
Export value using land transport also fell by 48.94% (yoy) to US$27.8 million in 2021, accounting for only 0.01% of total national exports.
Exports using pipeline transport increased by 58.91% (yoy) to US$2.48 billion in 2021. This contributed 1.23% of the total national export value.
Meanwhile, export value using postal transport plummeted by 71.46% (yoy) to US$14.2 million in 2021, accounting for only 0.01% of the total national export value.
