According to Bank Indonesia (BI) data, the growth of the export value of vegetable products in Riau Islands in February 2023 decreased by 8.58% to US$1.53 million. Over the past 24 years, the export value of vegetable products by province shows a downward trend.
Previously, according to the record of the last 24 years, the highest growth in Riau Islands occurred in December 2012 with a growth of 114.98%. The average over the last six years, however, shows a decrease of 6.7%.

Bank Indonesia (BI) collected data on the export value of vegetable products across all Indonesian provinces. Based on this data, the following are the 10 provinces with the highest export values of vegetable products in the country.
East Java is ranked first. In this province, Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded vegetable product export values totaling US$51.47 million. Monthly data in this region shows a 6.68% increase compared to the same period the previous month.
Next is North Sumatra, which recorded vegetable product exports of US$35.54 million, lower than the same period the previous month. However, monthly data shows a 13.64% increase in vegetable product exports compared to the previous month.
Then, Lampung with vegetable product exports of US$30.56 million (down 20.3%), Riau with vegetable product exports up 30.19% to US$28.14 million compared to the same period the previous month, and South Sulawesi with vegetable product exports of US$27.27 million (up 10.09%).
