Kompas Research and Development's data on Meta Platforms shows the value of political party (parpol) advertising transactions on social media. These ads aim to reach audiences and boost party popularity.

Kompas Research and Development reports that the total value of parpol advertising transactions on Meta's social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, reached Rp4.8 billion from April 1st to June 29th, 2023.

Golkar was the party with the highest social media advertising spending over the past three months, having spent Rp3.74 billion.

This figure is significantly higher than that of other parpol advertising costs.

Almost all of these funds originated from the Golkar Institute Foundation, a party cadre training institution established on September 8th, 2020.

The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) followed in second place with advertising spending of Rp785.6 million, funded by the party itself.

This was followed by the National Awakening Party (PKB) and Gerindra, with social media advertising costs of Rp195.7 million and Rp49.18 million respectively. The remaining figures are included in the graph.
