According to market research firm Compas, mouthcare products are highly sought after by Indonesian marketplace consumers.
Their digital search results show that over 301,000 mouthcare products were sold on official online stores in Tokopedia, Lazada, and Blibli between February 25th and March 10th, 2024, with total sales reaching approximately Rp9.8 billion.
Pepsodent was the leading mouthcare brand by market share.
During the period of February 25th to March 10th, 2024, approximately 149,000 Pepsodent products were sold, valued at Rp5.3 billion, representing 54.22% of total mouthcare sales across the three marketplaces.
Sensodyne ranked second, capturing 7.48% of the market share with sales volume of 14,300 products and sales value of Rp732 million.
Close Up came in third, achieving a 7.12% market share. This brand sold 28,600 products worth Rp700 million.
Colgate ranked fourth with a 4.57% market share. This American toothpaste brand achieved a sales volume of 7,600 products.
