Apple Posts US$83 Billion in Revenue Through Q3 2022

Apple Inc. reported revenue of US$83 billion in Q3 2022, a 2% increase compared to Q3 of the previous year, which reached US$81.4 billion.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the record-breaking revenue in the third quarter reflects the company's consistent efforts in innovation, advancing new possibilities, and enriching the lives of its customers.

“As always, we lead with our values, and express them in everything we build, from new features designed to protect user privacy and security, to tools that will enhance accessibility, part of our long-standing commitment to creating products for everyone,” said Tim, as quoted from a press release on Thursday (28/7/2022).

The iPhone contributed the most to Apple's revenue during this period, reaching US$40.66 billion or 49.01% of the company's total revenue.

Next, services such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, Apple News+, and Apple Fitness+ ranked second as the largest contributor to Apple's revenue, amounting to US$19.60 billion or approximately 23.63% of the company's total revenue.

Apple's wearables, home, and accessories revenue reached US$8.08 billion, or 9.74% of total revenue.

Mac revenue was recorded at US$7.38 billion, or 8.89% of total sales, and iPad net sales reached US$7.22 billion, or 8.70% of the company's total net sales.

By region, Apple's largest net sales in Q3 2022 came from the Americas, at US$37.47 billion or 45.16% of the company's total net sales. This was followed by Europe at 23.24%, China at 17.60%, Japan at 6.56%, and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region at 7.41%.

Over the past five years, Apple's revenue has shown an upward trend, with the highest revenue recorded in Q3 2022 and the lowest in Q3 2018.
