Based on the latest survey by Poltracking Indonesia, the electability of two political parties, PDI-P and PKB, is closely competing among voters in East Java (Jatim). PDI-P's electability in East Java is recorded at 21.5%, followed by PKB at 20.6%.

"In East Java, PDI-P and PKB are still competitive. Similar to previous elections, these two parties are competitive, both in the 2014 and 2019 elections," said Poltracking Research Director Arya Budi, in an online press conference on the Poltracking YouTube account, Wednesday (11/10/2023).

According to Arya, PDI-P and PKB will fiercely compete for the top vote position in East Java. Moreover, both parties have strong voter bases in East Java.

In the 2019 DPR election, the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri managed to garner around 4.3 million votes in East Java. Meanwhile, PKB was in second place with 4.2 million votes in the province.

Below the top two parties in East Java, there is Gerindra with electability of 15.3%. Then, followed by Nasdem with electability of 6.9%, Golkar 6.8%, PAN 6%, and Democrat 5.3%.

Other parties such as PPP, PKS, Perindo, PBB, and PSI have electability below the parliamentary threshold of 4%. This is shown in the graph above.

Poltracking involved 1,000 respondents aged 17 years and older or already married in the survey conducted from September 25 to October 1, 2023. This survey has a margin of error of around 3.1% at a 95% confidence level.
