The gubernatorial candidate pair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono-Sylviana Murni is almost certainly eliminated from the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilkada DKI Jakarta 2017). Based on 98.3 percent of the data received by the General Election Commission, Agus-Sylvi only obtained 917,457 votes, or 17.02 percent. In all six electoral districts, Agus-Sylvi received the fewest votes.
Meanwhile, the gubernatorial candidate pairs Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)-Djarot Saiful Hidayat and Anies Rasyid Baswedan-Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno will advance to the second round of the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, the vote counts for both pairs are quite close, with Ahok-Djarot obtaining 42.9 percent and Anies-Sandi 40.01 percent.
To win a second term as Jakarta's governor, Ahok-Djarot must gain more than 7.1 percent of Agus-Sylvi's supporters, while Anies-Sandi needs more than 9.9 percent to become the capital's governor. Agus-Sylvi's highest vote count was in East Jakarta, approximately 296,000 votes, followed by West Jakarta with 202,000 votes. Both pairs could also gain additional votes from those who did not vote in the February 15, 2017 Pilkada.
