SMRC Survey: Majority of Public Satisfied with Presidential Performance

A Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) survey reports that the majority of the public is satisfied with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Overall, the satisfaction rate with the president's performance is 73.9%. Meanwhile, 24.3% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, and 1.8% did not know or did not answer.

The SMRC survey also details the level of respondent satisfaction with the government's performance in handling Covid-19 and national economic recovery. The results show that the majority of respondents are satisfied.

Specifically, 72% of respondents were satisfied with the government's performance in handling Covid-19. Meanwhile, 25.9% of respondents were dissatisfied, and 2.1% did not know or did not answer.

Regarding the president's performance in economic recovery, 62.7% of respondents expressed satisfaction. 34.6% of respondents answered that they were dissatisfied, and 2.7% did not know or did not answer.

This survey was conducted from May 10-17, 2022, involving 1,060 respondents across Indonesia. Respondents were aged 17 years and older or married.

The survey used a face-to-face interview method. Sampling used a simple random sampling method with a margin of error of approximately 3.07% at a 95% confidence level.
